Communicate with clients to understand what they want artistically
Figure out how to visually represent a concept
Choose which photographs, art, and other design elements to use
Manage graphic designers and other design staff
Present designs to clients and make changes accordingly
What is an Art Director?
The art director is responsible for the visual look and intuitive feel of the advertisement, often working alongside the creative director, copywriter, and graphic designers to create the creative executions. In order to be successful, an art director will need to have strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
